Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Salary £20,600 pro rata (£34,300 WTE)
Hours: 24h per week (3 days)
Location: Cygnet Views, 22 Wellington Street, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3JP
We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist with a passion for delivering outstanding care and treatment, to join us at Cygnet Views, one of our Learning Disability High Dependency Support Units.
Cygnet Views supports up to 10 females who have a Learning Disability to develop coping strategies and learn new skills. We work hard to empower the individuals they care for and we use a range of therapy approaches to provide the best level of care. The primary goal is to enable them to move from the high dependency unit into their own home.
This role would be suitable for an experienced Band 5 SLT who is looking to progress to the next stage of their career.

We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist with:
- A Diploma/Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and current HCPC registration and RCSLT membership
- Strong clinical and professional skills
- Experience or a keen interest in the field of Learning Disability, Autism and Mental Health disorders
- Dysphagia competencies desirable but not essential
- A good knowledge of Inclusive Communication and how this can support those with Learning Disability, Autism and Mental Health disorders
- A good knowledge of person-centred planning and coproduction
- Evidence of being a strong team player with a genuine desire to help others
- Good organisational and project management skills
- A flexible and responsive approach
