Your Role

Cygnet are seeking for Occupational Therapists to join our rotation programme within the East Midlands (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire).

The successful applicants will be offered a rotation programme covering a number of different service lines within the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire areas.

Each rotation is expected to enable the successful candidate ample opportunity to develop their key occupational skills and understanding of mental health services whilst working with experienced multi-disciplinary teams.

We are looking for staff who share our passion for service development and who are willing to drive for sustained high quality care delivery as part of a supportive team.

Service Lines

  • Secure services
  • Personality disorder services
  • Acute services
  • Psychiatric intensive care services
  • High dependency rehabilitation services

You would be responsible for the assessment and treatment of occupational dysfunction for service users working alongside the onsite Occupational Therapy team.

You will work with a full multidisciplinary team in a coordinated way to support each service user develop their skills and move through our clinical model of care from admission to discharge.

Occupational Therapy Directorate

Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors, we support over 150 Occupational Therapists. Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & become involved in service development.

Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.

We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists.

Occupational Therapy Preceptorship & Induction

We offer an Occupational Therapy 12 month preceptorship programme to support and consolidate core Occupational Therapy skills. This runs alongside a thorough induction process both to site and to the Occupational Therapy directorate. We are proud to offer a buddy system to support new recruits and opportunities will also be made available for peer to peer support with other band 5 occupational therapists.

Each service line is also represented by a clinical lead occupational therapist and each region has a regional lead occupational therapist. Regular service line and regional meetings are facilitated as a form of continued professional development.

Requirements
