Are you an outstanding Specialty Doctor looking for your next challenge in psychiatry – and a competitive salary?

With us, you’ll have the opportunity to progress your career to Consultant level through our prestigious CESR programme and we also offer support and teaching towards completion of MRCPsych exams.

We have an opportunity for a full-time Specialty Doctor to shape services at Cygnet Hospital Brunel – while being fully supported by a Consultant Psychiatrist / Neuropsychiatrist and first-class multidisciplinary team.

Cygnet Hospital Brunel is a 32 bed Neuropsychiatric service offering neurorehabilitation for complex acquired brain injury individuals. The hospital is a modern facility which has been designed specifically to provide a clinically led evidence based neuropsychiatric pathway for individuals presenting with behaviours that challenge.

In this role you will be working on Pilot and Yawl wards, providing neuropsychiatric care to male patients aged 18-65 years affected by an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

Pilot Ward supports individuals with a co-morbid diagnosis of ABI and Organic Behaviour Disorders. Bespoke treatment pathways help to manage impairments generated by both ABI and Mental Health conditions, ensuring symptom regulation is maintained for optimum recovery and quality of life.

Yawl offers a slower stream Neuropsychiatric Rehabilitation pathway for men affected by an ABI. The ward offers service users an opportunity to maximise their skills through a slower stream approach enabling them to transfer their skills into the community and day to day living prior to their successful discharge.

At Cygnet, our perks go way beyond pension schemes and excellent professional development.

You’ll also enjoy shopping, travel and leisure discounts – as well as a range of healthcare and financial benefits – to support you to be happy both in and out of work.
