About Us

Cygnet was established in 1988 as an independent provider of health and social care services in England, Scotland and Wales.

Your Role

Service Line: Mental Health Eating Disorders

Summary of the site:

Cygnet Hospital Ealing provides a welcoming environment, offering personalised treatment for service users with an eating disorder or personality disorder over two separate wards.

The team works hard to support individuals in their recovery and personal transformation. They make use of a range of therapies including psychodynamic, family, occupational, art, drama and complementary therapies. They also believe very strongly in patient-centred care, and involve their service users in shaping their own treatment, and in all aspects of hospital life.

Cygnet Hospital Ealing is well-resourced and located in a leafy, residential area, with excellent links to the M25 and central London. The hospital building was once a house and has retained its homely feel, thanks to their welcoming, friendly staff and pleasant surroundings.

The successful candidate would spend their time planning and implementing therapeutic activities appropriate to the needs, choices and interests of individuals in our care, under the supervision and guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist.

The role is primarily based on Sunrise Ward, 14-bed Eating Disorder service. However, it will also require some cross-cover on New Dawn, a 9-bed Personality Disorder Service.

The Occupational Therapy Assistant will also be working with the in-house MDT which is designed to support the individual in our care throughout their journey with us.
