We need an outstanding Clinical/Forensic or Counselling  Psychologist who’s dedicated to helping people with a range of complex mental health needs.

You will be joining our team at Cygnet Hospital Sheffield as a Lead Psychologist. 

Please note this is a full time, 40 hour per week position however part time hours may be considered for the right applicant.

Cygnet Hospital Sheffield:

Cygnet Hospital Sheffield offers a low secure service for women and CAMHS services for male and female adolescents over three distinct wards.

Within the adult service, women are supported by a full multi-disciplinary team who are focused on helping service users regain independence, maintain family links and prepare for discharge. There is a focus on community access, therapy and meaningful activity and offering a warm and welcoming environment for the delivery of support and care.

Your Day-to-Day…

  • You’ll be working 38.5 hours a week in PICU and Acute services
  • Ensure high quality care is delivered to all patients
  • Provide consultation & advice within the service & to the wider clinical team 
  • Carry out psychological assessments, develop care plans & provide therapy 
  • Evaluate and contribute to the strategic development of the service 
  • Ensure the service meets quality standards & recognised best practice.

We are looking for someone who is...

  • A HCPC registered Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist with experience in a multidisciplinary team
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Qualified Psychologist 
  • Experienced in a clinical forensic or mental health setting
  • Preferably trained in complex therapies such as Schema focused, Cognitive Analytical and DBT 
  • Passionate about working with people with a range of complex mental health needs
  • Capable of treating difficulties such as self-harm, physical & verbal aggression, history of sexual offending and drug & alcohol problems
  • An excellent time, people & task manager with exceptional communication skills.
