We are looking for an organised and experienced Mental Health Act Administrator Assistant with a passion for making a difference to others. 

You’ll be working Part-Time, 24 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) at Cygnet Fountains, helping ensure the safe and smooth running of services for the people in our care. 

Cygnet Fountains is a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men who have severe and enduring mental illness and who may have been detained under the Mental Health Act. The individuals we support come to us following multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or stepping down from secure settings.

Your day-to-day... 

  • Provide a high standard of organisational & administrative support 
  • Prepare reports & other written materials
  • Keep files & records as required
  • Work co-operatively with all other members of the administration team to ensure the department runs smoothly
  • Taking notes & minutes at meetings
  • Answer the telephone & respond to all enquiries in a friendly, efficient manner

We are looking for people who have...

  • Previous administration experience including report preparation, organising meetings, liaising with customers/clients
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) with qualifications in English and Maths
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Experience of working in a Healthcare environment alongside medical practitioners is desirable
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Act 1983 (MHA 1983) is desirable
