You wil be joining our team at Cygnet Hospital Taunton fon a part time basis working 16hrs per week across 2 days.

Cygnet Hospital Taunton:

Cygnet Hospital Taunton provides acute inpatient admissions service for men and women and a specialist inpatient service for men diagnosed with a learning disability.

Your Day-to-Day…

  • Assess people referred for therapy as part of a multidisciplinary needs assessment 
  • Plan & deliver therapy interventions and determine their effectiveness
  • Provide a variety of work, including individual & group therapy
  • Monitor, evaluate & adapt ongoing clinical work according to each individual’s needs
  • Attend clinical meetings and communicate with colleagues, external agencies & families/carers
  • Comply with relevant codes of practice, such as the HCPC
  • Maintain & store equipment in a safe condition and attend to risk issues concerning its use 

We are looking for someone who is... 

  • Qualified in Music Therapy
  • Registered with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
  • Experienced within a mental health setting, or with a passion for working in this type of setting
  • Understanding of mental health diagnosis
